Can I Breakup With Them Through Text?

As for your question here’s the simple rule:

It really depends on how long you’ve been dating:

If it’s just been a couple dates and casual, go ahead and text him. Be short and to the point.

If it’s been a significant number of dates but you haven’t been “girlfriend and boyfriend” it’sbest to do a phone call.

If you had anything resembling a real relationship they deserve to be broken up with in person. It’s your choice if you do it in a public place or not.

But no matter what, don’t drag things out. Don’t make lame excuses. Don’t lie. Just say “This isn’t working for me and I don’t want to date you anymore.“

Yes, I know that seems harsh. But so many folks muck it up by saying BS like “We should be friends.” That’s not what you mean at all. Cut the chord like ripping a bandaid off a hairy arm.

But don’t do it on Valentine’s day. That’s just lame.
